Jamroom and proxima
01/09/15 12:43:50AM, by DannyA
I know there's no documentation yet, but is it safe to run proxima on an existing jamroom build? there is no conflict with any existing modules right? I wanted to be sure because it the install only mentioned to in stall Proxima on the JR core. It didn't mention one way or another any other modules being installed.

After searching the forum, I found only 3 topics on Nginx and all three were closed. I'm going to be switching to Nginx shortly and wanted to start this topic to see if there was any updated information available about running Jamroom on Nginx.

SOAPI and Jamroom
07/17/19 08:46:11AM, by Matthias
Hi, it has been a while since I used jamroom. Now I was very much surprised where you guys came so far. Very nice. So I thought maybe I could switch to jamroom with a media project. This switch would need a SOAP integration so that I could fetch the media data from my seperated "digital asset management" system and bring it into jamroom.Media alike videos, photos, categorie lists etc ... This system on its side only supports SOAP and no Rest API. Has anyone allready used Jamroom together with...

SOLVED - MOD SuPHP and Jamroom
11/25/13 04:37:22AM, by MAD
Hey guys. Having a few issues with upgrading to 5.1.2 as all perms are set to 777 instead of 755 for Mod SuPHP. Even if I upload them as the user through FTP they are still 777. We have a dedicated server which is running Mod SuPHP. ( Dont ask ) I could change the perms sitewide using terminal but there must be another way ??? Is there anyway to upgrade easily with Jamroom as it keeps throwing 500 errors due to the permission issue ( I am Guessing ) Any help would be appreciated as our...
Jamroom 6.1.6 Upgrade and TinyMCE changes
02/27/18 09:48:08AM, by brian
The recent Jamroom 6.1.6 upgrade included an update to the latest version of the WYSIWYG editor that Jamroom uses (TinyMCE). This new version now features a mobile editor, which previous versions did not - this allows users who are on a mobile phone to have some rich editing capabilities that was previously only available to desktop and tablet users. However, we've seen with this update that a percentage of users (typically using Chrome) will end up seeing a "blank" space where the editor...
Ning to Jamroom migration and SEO
01/28/15 01:43:47AM, by jamesh
I am investigating the feasibility of shifting from Ning to Jamroom, in fact the Jamroom team are working on my import currently. So far so good, one major issue I must address is SEO, my 5 year established Ning site is very well indexed by the major search engines and that must continue for this migration to be successful. How do I go about ensuring that my search traffic remains intact following a migration of this nature? Have you migrated to Jamroom already? What would you do differently?

Jamroom - in the flesh and blood
10/06/16 08:58:12AM, by Riggster
Hi there! Firstly - please let me introduce myself - I'm Mark and I work alongside SteveX (who has brilliantly developed our workbook installation of Jamroom at our University!). He's opened my eyes to how good the platform is - and we're hoping to make a virtue of its effectiveness in delivering our open education resources... ...which brings me onto my second point (well, question really): does anyone have experience of innovative ways of demoing Jamroom in a training environment?...
